Privacy policy

What we collect

• Questionnaire answers — your U.S. state, height, weight, calculated BMI, age confirmation, general health conditions you select, medication and payment preferences, budget, and priorities.
• Email address — only if you opt in to receive your comparison results or CompareRx.org updates.
• Anonymous session identifier — a random ID stored in your browser so we can link a questionnaire submission to any provider links you click, without knowing who you are.
• Outbound click logs — provider slug, referrer page, user agent, and timestamp when you click a "Visit provider" link.

How we use it

Your questionnaire answers are used to generate personalized matches. Health details never leave our systems and are never sold. We use aggregate click and submission counts to measure interest in listed providers and to improve the site.

If you provide an email address with results consent, we will email your comparison results one time. If you also opt in to marketing, we may send occasional CompareRx.org updates; you can unsubscribe from any email at any time via the link in the message footer.

Who we share with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your questionnaire answers with the telehealth providers listed on CompareRx.org. If you click through to a provider, that provider receives only what any website visitor sends (IP, browser type, referring URL) — we do not pass your health data to them.

We use standard infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery) that process data on our behalf.

Retention & your rights

Questionnaire submissions are retained for up to 24 months for analytics; email addresses are removed on unsubscribe or on request. Click logs are retained for up to 24 months in de-identified form.

California and other U.S. residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information. To make a request, email privacy@comparerx.org or use our contact form.
