Overview
Selank is a synthetic analogue of tuftsin, an immunomodulatory peptide. It is approved in Russia for generalized anxiety disorder. Western evidence is essentially absent.
Mechanism of action
Modulates GABA-A receptor allosteric sites, enkephalin degradation, and serotonin metabolism; influences IL-6 expression.
